One never wants to say "goodbye" to those they love. I was fighting it, but I knew it had to be done. Animals also know when they aren't wanted & IF I had not decided to take Gypsy this morning to have her put to sleep, she would have laid right there in the Still's beautiful flower bed & passed away.

I'm very sad that I can't make the SS show tonight! What a combo Bo and fireworks WOW!! Its only 98 miles from us but I can'tt afford the gas in my gusling GT!! Came back from Gulf Shores had fun only to unload suitcases to find out I lost 3 bottles of meds.The drugstore said it's too early to refill them.Now I have 3 blood test to take next week without being able to take my meds.Please pray for me that all my tests come out good.

This was no doubt the 1st Mother's Day in many years that wasn't difficult for me. The mother who raised me celebrates her 98th birthday in heaven May 14th. I recall times Mother's birthday fell on Mother's Day. She lost her brave battle with cancer on 9/5/98, so it has been a long time since she was with me (except in my heart) on the special day we honor our mothers.

I don't understand what kind of world we live in today??!! Yesterday another Philadelphia Police Officer was shot and killed in the line of duty by some thugs who could care less about a human life, a 39 year old family man. Rest in Peace Sgt. Stephen Liczbinski. God Bless You!

This pic was taken on my birthday, March 14th. I bought some crocus bulbs last fall, and since the ground was hard as a rock, I opted to throw them in a pot and keep them in the garage over the winter. hmmm.... are they supposed to be this tall?

It's so nice to finally see something growing besides the grass. I thought this winter was never going to end. Hope these blooms from one of my flowering pear trees brightens your day.
ETA: I live just south of Chicago. The last possible time around here for a frost is usually around mid-April. But we've had snow as late as May 5.

Every year for the past 5 years my town has a festival called Rivers and Spires. It lasts for three days and they have bands, arts and crafts, food, dancers, all kinds of stuff. Gosh, what a couple of months I've had. It's been a real roller coaster ride. Why do we do it? I mean now that season 4 was 3 yrs. ago and last year it was so disappointing that it was actually boring...at least I thought it was. I understand that Nigel's recent comments about bo don't necessarily mean bo will show up on AI this season. But wouldn't it be great if (as someone else mentioned) they used one of bo's songs to send off the rejected ones--or better yet, if bo sang Witness live on primetime TV? Hey, I can dream can't I? It has been so refreshing to hear that some of the peeps have spouses & children who are Bo Bice fans. Well, my husband just called to tell me to turn the TV to 202 that Bo was coming on CNN's news channel. I couldn't believe that he sounded kind of excited.

Samson (sjohnston) has ferreted out a tour date! In the meantime, we know that Bo wants to officially announce a tour all at once, but individual venues don't necessarily follow his plan.
The Rumor Mill was set up to bridge the gap between Samson's (and others') internet sleuthing and the Official Word from TPTB. Pretty clever if you ask me!
Now we just need to find out some more dates ...
