I've tried, but I can't describe how this day spent with "peeps" and with Bo uplifted my soul. It was just what the Dr. ordered!! Since I really have no words to fully express how I felt, I'll share the videos that I was lucky enough to capture. The first concert video, See the Light, is pretty rough. I was being very covert and it shows. The videos do get better as I relaxed and realized that no one seemed to care that we were videotaping.
Enjoy!!

The show in Cumming was AMAZING!!! Just AMAZING! Bo looked SO in his element up on that stage...such fun to watch! And the band? AWESOME! All five guys up there put 150% into every single song they played for us that night, and you could just tell that they are having the time of their lives playing music...and playing it together! Just an AWESOME NIGHT!
Here's some video from the night. To view more, you can check out the others I've uploaded to youtube
here
. I hope many people find their way to all the videos that are out there from this amazing night...The songs are all AWESOME, and well, it's LIVE BO! 'Nuff said

... I'll never forget were made this week. When the times comes that I can't remember short-term stuff, I'm sure I'll be able to conjure this week up in my brain and enjoy it all over again. People will be wondering what that damn old fool is smiling about, they'll rush over and take my blood pressure when I mumble "American Blood". They'll call my lawyer when they hear "Witness" croaked from my throat. They'll pat me on the head when I say "Got Money". When I cry "U Make Me Better", they'll say "we're tryin' honey". When I yell "Sweet Home Alabama" and "Can't Take the Country Out of Me", they look at each other and wonder "Isn't she from CT?". "Only Words." "Oh, okay it's only words, she knows she's not from AL. When I grin and say "Whiskey, Women and Time", they'll be shocked. "Wow, she's had quite the life".
When I start singing "This Train" they'll let me know I can't get on a train, but maybe they can manage a bus to the mall. "The Real Thing!" "Well honey, I think the train would be a little too much excitement for you." When I smile and say "I Ain't Gonna Die" their eyes will roll. When I yell "See The Light" they'll start getting nervous. And when I end with "I'm Gone" hopefully there will be tears in their eyes. "God she certainly was a pisser, wasn't she."
So thanks to Bo, The Band, Patrick and John Beard, Bill and his precious guitar, and every Peep I talked to and visited with, the group I roomed with, and the girls at the lakehouse, for making these memories I'll cherish forever.
A Recap
To arrive at the venue and hear In a Dream floating towards you is very special. It set the tone for the whole night. SPECIAL. Bo was quite serious on stage during the sound check but did acknowledge the fans coming in.
Once we secured our seats it was such fun to just walk around and visit or meet the other peeps. (Honestly, I never thought I'd use that word in a sentence and now it just pops out.) It was easy to go to the midway to get drinks, food and use the rest room. It truly was a Bo Bice Festival Ho Down.
We sat right on the side of the sponsor seats and had a perfect view. The sponsor section did have quite a few people in it. Not totally filled but respectable. All the folding chairs were filled as well as a lot of the standing room and, at one point, I'd say half the bleachers. Some people did leave before the end but it was a school night, so perhaps that had something to do with it. Plus it was pretty chilly (not that I was chilly).
Once they got over the technical difficulties, which they covered fine, they all started having fun. I watched a lot of video last night with some other peeps (ho's) and it wasn't my imagination! Bo was on fire. We screamed at every facial expression, of which there were many. It's those looks he gives you. The hooded eyes, the knowing smiles. Leaning as far back as he can, then don't get me started on the hip thrusts. THE PANTS! Oh those pants. Whoa doggie.
How does he do it? How does he take a flower from a sweet little girl, give her a high five and blow her a kiss, then turn around and become a sexy rock star in two seconds. How does he give a heartfelt speech through his tears, reaching out to us, telling us he's our fan, that he loves us and we'll never know what that guitar means to him. I felt the love and gratitude flowing from him, I really did. Bo was in shock. He was facing our side of the stage when they opened it and he stepped back, immediately putting his hands to his face. Everyone screaming "We love you Bo!!!!" Shaking his head in disbelief. Telling the perfect jokes! Perfect ones. He was so [bad word removed]ing happy Thursday night.
Then he turns around and gives the hottest performances ever. Sweetbird? Holy sex gods! I've never seen it like that, he was in even more of a frenzy, the hair was all over the place. Honestly, I'm getting excited thinking about it.
It was such an emotional night. We laughed at his jokes and his joy, we cried at the presentation, Only Words and American Blood, we said "Aw, how cute is that" with the kids, and we lusted the rest of the time. What a wonderful night of music and fun.
After the show all the guys came out and talked for quite a while. It was really nice, the fans all appreciate it. They took their time, were very charming, had pictures taken and gave autographs. I love them.
A long while after, we were just about to leave but saw people going back stage. Bo was out and going to sign autographs. They lined us up against a chain-link fence, but there was lots of room to walk around and such. Bo went down the line of people putting on the Bo Comedy Show interspersed with thanks to his fans.
I had the best few days ever on this trip.

Bo & The Band "Blew My Flip Flops Off"!!!

The only way to describe the atmosphere of that night is that it was magical. You could feel all the love in the air...radiating off all the fans who have followed Bo's career. There was something special about this concert. For me, it was kind of a "coming out" party for Bo...the Bo that we have waited so long to hear.
Bo looked so happy & healthy. He was finally able to record and produce a new CD of HIS music, and has a new AMAZINGLY TALENTED band. We were there to witness the unveiling of this "new" Bo. I think he could feel the love in the air, at least I'd like to think so. He came out on that stage and rocked us all..from start to finish. SOUTHERN ROCK BO...NOW THAT'S WHAT I'M TALKIN 'BOUT! The new songs are AWESOME...funky and soulful. Bo and everyone involved with the new music should be very proud of themselves!
I can't tell you exactly how many people ended up being there to see Bo but I can tell you that he definately made some new fans that night. For example, I had to go to the bathroom so bad, I had held it for a long time, so I went after Bo sang Witness. Afterwards, I decided to stand in back and watch the crowd...sometimes it's good to step away from the fandom for a moment to see the rest of the world, see it from their perspective. This is when they came out for the encore and played SweetBird. There were all kinds of people jamming out in the bleachers and this one guy who was working some sort of spotlight thing from the very back...that kid rocked out during the whole performance! I don't even think he worked that light during it...lol. It was a great thing to see.
I was also happy to hear that the cellcert was very clear for the people who were unable to be there. It's a rare thing to have a clear cellcert but ya'll needed to hear it and it worked out! Even though ya'll weren't there in person, ya'll were there in spirit...
believe me.
I can't wait to see them again!!!

Thanks so much for the videos. Each one is so special. I've watched the "Gift" a number of times and it always makes me tear up. Sharon, your video is so great. To see Caroline and Aidan in the background is just a bonus. Loved Philip dropping his quitar. Wonder what he said.

...of the gift presentation to Bo. This one captured the band's reactions, Caroline and Aidan backstage. I'll post a larger file link soon since youtube only allows 100MB, which doesn't allow for great quality. Enjoy!! I apologize in advance. There were a couple of places where I was shaking so badly!! And, you'll hear me whimper a few times, it was so emotional!!

I wanted to be at this concert so bad, but it wasn't to be this time, so it is wonderful to be able to watch these videos. I know it's difficult to tape and watch Bo at the same time, so a big MWAH to all the peeps who did this for us.
Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!!

At the beginning of the month I responded to a blog from Mindy on myspace asking what your favorite Bo show was. It was a really tough choice because each show has had such special meaning for so many different reasons. At the time I said it was the show at House of Blues Cleveland because it was my first Bo show, and the one that hooked me. Hooked me so much that I had to keep going to any one I could. I have had some of the best experiences of my life at all these shows since that one. In the blog I also commented that I couldn't wait for the Cumming, GA show, and had a feeling it would top them all. Well, I was RIGHT!!!! This show was definitely the best I've been to. Bo, you just continue to amaze me and blow me away. I am so happy for you and so proud to be a fan. And Thomas, Luis, Miles and Phillip; you guys are awesome.
I just got home, and I wanted to share these videos for those that couldn't be there and those that want to relive it. I will be sure to come back with a more detailed recap.
Enjoy!!

A trip to remember...

I don’t even know where to begin on this magical trip to Cumming, GA. As I walked towards the venue I could hear Bo’s beautiful voice singing “In a Dream”, which was the first time I’ve heard it live, and I knew this was going to be just the beginning of one special night.
After a few snafus in Bo’s equipment were taken care of, the show got on its way and what a show it was!!!! Bo looked so happy, healthy, and his voice was strong & powerful… he was ready to kick out some serious rock & he and the band did just that!! I have to admit I was a little apprehensive about hearing the new band cause I had become so accustom to SugarMoney, but my fears quickly subsided… Luis, Philip, Miles, and of course our Tommy showed us what true professionals they are. Not only great music, but lots of great chemistry taking place on the stage that night. And then (I knew it was going to happen - I just didn’t know when, where or how) Nancy & Bill walked out on stage… my heart started pounding like crazy… it was time. Nancy was so gracious and our Bill did such a beautiful job presenting the gift to Bo, and conveying to him just how much his peeps love him… how much he means to us. Again, Thank you Bill - I love you! I don’t know how anyone could have watched this without shedding a tear. The show ended too soon, but I would say that even if Bo put on a 6 hour show.
After the show all the guys came out on stage and spent a lot of time talking with the fans. Lots of pics, autographs, hugs, and laughs. By the looks of it, they enjoy talking to the fans as much as the fans enjoy talking with them. I didn’t think Bo was coming out, but about 45 minutes later he did meet with fans out near the tour bus. I’ve been very fortunate … this was my 17th show and I’ve “met” Bo a few times, but I never get tired of watching his interaction with the fans, and this night he was the funniest I’ve ever seen him. He stayed until everyone got an autograph. He’s so good to his fans. I know that not only this night, but this whole trip to Cumming will be a memory I’ll be keeping close to my heart. Now if only the 23rd would get here!
