The Story
Every phoenix has to burn first. This is the whole arc: the rise, the fall, and the part he's writing right now.
Harold Elwin "Bo" Bice Jr. was born in Huntsville, Alabama, to a family of gospel singers, nicknamed after Humphrey Bogart and raised on church hymns and Southern rock in equal measure.
He formed his first band as a teenager in England, cut his teeth with Purge, Blue Suede Nickel and SugarMoney, and spent the better part of a decade on the club circuit across the U.S., the U.K., Ireland and Europe before most people had ever heard his name. By the time he walked into an American Idol audition at 29 and sang the Allman Brothers' "Whipping Post," he'd already put in ten years of nights nobody saw.
