Meet Bo

Bo's epic run on American Idol as runner-up to Carrie Underwood in 2005 is still one of the most watched seasons in the show's history. Bo has received many awards over his career. As a native of Alabama, being inducted into the Alabama Music Hall of Fame and having Governor Bob Riley declare May 24 Bo Bice Day were among the greatest honors of his career.

Bo was also awarded for his contribution to his country by President George W. Bush at The White House in 2009 for his multiple trips to perform for U.S. service members at home and abroad, including Afghanistan, Iraq, Kuwait, and Guantanamo Bay.

Other accomplishments include VH1 "Big in 2005," MTV "Best Reality Show Contestants" 2005, and a string of three Gold albums from his contribution to the Idols 2005 compilation CD, his single "Vehicle," and his debut CD The Real Thing, recorded with Clive Davis and RCA Records.

Bo has recorded and performed with Jim Peterik of Ides of March, Richie Sambora of Bon Jovi, Chad Kroeger of Nickelback, Hank Williams Jr., Willie Nelson, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Phish, and Marshall Tucker, among others. He has recorded duets with Carlos Santana on "Brown Skin Girl" in 2005, Joe Diffie on "Willin'" in 2008, Robin Meade on "Right Here Waiting" in 2015, and Jessica Meuse on "Without You" in 2018.

Bo sang the title track to the 2007 movie Blades of Glory with Will Ferrell and Jon Heder; the music video was showcased in the closing credits. He also recorded The Chambers Brothers song "Time Has Come Today" for Monopoly's 50th birthday commercial campaign.
